Just about five minutes away from the beach, we can find a sandy plateau at 25 meters /80 feet depth where the bull sharks are swimming around and we can do one dive to see them.
We organize an experience where you will be able to observe this amazing creatures in their natural habitat. The organization of this activity is extremely careful with the conservation of the sharks and with the safety of our divers. Yet we don´t need to forget these are powerful and wild animals that deserve respect of their environment and distance. For this reason we only hire the most experienced professionals in the field of shark feeding.

During winter time, from late November to about late February, this area of the Mexican Caribbean hosts lots of pregnant bull sharks seeking food and mainly a place where to lay their eggs. They are normally in very deep waters where we can´t really see them, but eventually they come to shallower water and we can make some dives to appreciate their beauty.
The activity is very well organized by a nonprofit organization called Save our Sharks, which is using these and other activities to make research of the sharks and protect them from fishing and other harmful activities.
During the whole activity, there will be one or two dive guides taking care of the divers. You will meet also the shark feeder and his safety diver. Them both will be in charge of the whole action. The feeder will bring very few fish in a bucket and will start attracting the sharks around. Is actually him the only one who decides when to take one and only one fish at a time and offer it to the most calm shark around. You will be able to see how relaxed the sharks are, not even trying to fight for the fish or showing any aggression at all.
In a very good day, you may see more than 15 bull sharks swimming peacefully around together with stingrays, remoras and turtles.
